We’re a small crew, and we like it that way. Since 2002, Marlow Garage Door Repair Torrance has built a team of people who actually live in the South Bay, know the difference between a Walteria fix and a Seaside Ranchos job, and show up in a uniform with their name on the shirt. No subcontractors. No rotating strangers. The person who answers your call might be the same person tightening the bolts on your door the next morning. Jaylen Ross, Owner, has spent years putting together a crew that treats a broken spring on a 1970s track home in Torrance the same way they’d treat one on their own garage.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches on garage doors for 14 years, the last six of them with Marlow Garage Door Repair Torrance. He’s certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie openers, and he’s the guy we send when a previous repair went sideways and the customer is understandably frustrated. Marcus can listen to a torsion spring groan over the phone and tell you roughly what it needs before he even gets in the truck. He grew up in North Torrance and still complains that the best breakfast burrito in the city closed in 2019. If your door has a problem that three other companies couldn’t diagnose, you want Marcus standing in your driveway.
Dana R. – Senior Installer
Dana has spent over a decade installing and retrofitting garage doors across Torrance, Lomita, and the Hollywood Riviera. She’s our specialist for Clopay and Amarr door systems and handles most of the heavier structural work, including full track replacement and spring conversions from extension to torsion. Before joining the Marlow crew, she did commercial door work in Carson, which means residential panels feel almost like a day off. Dana keeps a photo on her phone of every door she’s installed, organized by street. Ask her about the time she put a custom Amarr oak-style door on a mid-century house off Crenshaw and the neighbors stopped to applaud. She’s not kidding.
Victor H. – Service Coordinator
Victor runs the phones and the schedule for Marlow Garage Door Repair Torrance, which means he’s the calm voice you hear at 2 a.m. when your spring lets go and your car is trapped. He joined us four years ago after a decade dispatching HVAC trucks in Los Angeles, and he brought a skill most coordinators don’t have: he remembers names, doors, and the exact repair history of every repeat customer. Victor tracks every technician through live GPS, so when we say a tech is on the way and you can see them move, that’s Victor making sure it stays true. He lives in Old Torrance and claims his own garage door is the most maintained in the zip code. Nobody argues.
Reuben K. – Apprentice Technician
Reuben is the newest member of the team, two years into his apprenticeship and already certified on Wayne Dalton and Craftsman hardware. He rides along with Marcus on most calls, handles the inspection checklists, and is the one taking before-and-after photos so every customer gets a clear record of the work. Reuben grew up in Harbor Gateway and took apart his first garage door opener at 15, though he admits it didn’t go back together exactly right. He’ll be the first to tell you he’s still learning, and the second to hand you a torque wrench with the right setting already dialed in.
One Standard, Every Job
The four of us answer to the same set of rules, and those rules don’t change depending on the neighborhood or the size of the job. Every repair gets a written price before any work begins, and that price doesn’t move unless you approve a change in writing first. Every repair is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise, which means if the fix fails within a year, we come back and make it right on our dime. We also operate under The Relay Standard and The Relay Visibility Guarantee: live arrival tracking, photos of the work, a digital invoice you can pay from your phone. In Torrance, whether it’s a snapped cable near the high school or a spring that gave out in Seaside, the crew that shows up is the crew whose names you just read. It’s been that way since 2002, and we don’t see a reason to change.
